Over 240 Entries as of September 20, 2002

The books and articles cited below cover a wide range of materials, some readily available in print and others tucked away in the libraries of major universities around the world. I have tried to make it as comprehensive as possible, yet it is far from complete, most obviously covering only English language texts and missing all magazine and journal citations before 1995. However, it has been painstakingly assembled over the last 5 years and has been made public here to assist scholars, activists, and policy makers in their research endeavours on and for Uttarakhand. - Rajiv Rawat, 8/31/2002
